Requirements
Annual Declaration (Fillable Google Doc) (Fillable/Printable PDF)
Volunteers must submit a declaration each year they wish to work in the division. New Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector and Child Abuse Registry Checks will be required if a declaration has not been submitted for a year or more.
Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
A Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check must be completed within six (6) months of the start of your volunteer work. RCMP detachments located within the school division will waive fees if a letter from the school where you will be volunteering accompanies your application (see AP 307 for more information).
Child Abuse Registry Check
Approved Child Abuse Registry Checks are typically received within one (1) to two (2) months of submission to the registry. If proof of submission has been provided to the school/division, the annual declaration will cover the interim period.
Option 1) PRSD In-House Application Form
Available by request from the division or school offices or prsd@g.prsdmb.ca.
The 20-dollar fee is exempt; completed applications are received by the division. A PRSD staff member must verify your identity.
Option 2) Self-Check Form (Weblink)
Costs the applicant 20 dollars; completed applications are mailed to the applicant, who must then submit the check or its copy to the school/division.
